East West University (EWU) is now over two decades old and has established itself as one of the leading private universities of Bangladesh. In almost all surveys conducted on private universities by independent agencies for some time now, EWU has consistently been ranked at the top of the list. The university has had its permanent campus since 2012, which has by now become a landmark in the cityscape because of its location and architectural excellence.
Not surprisingly, EWU has been graduating students who have increasingly been finding ready employment in their respective fields. In fact, its alumni have made their mark in leading multinationals as well as nationally reputed organizations while some have also been recruited by public and private universities and government agencies. A few have also made their mark as entrepreneurs; there have even been alumni who have been successful in setting up startup companies. Today, thousands of former graduates, at home and abroad, proudly look back at EWU as their alma mater.
It is, therefore, almost inevitable that EWU alumni (i.e. known as EWUIAN) have their own alumni foundation, as is to be found in almost all established or even relatively newly established universities of the world. To this end, some EWU alumni met formally/informally over the years to form such a body. It is with these perspectives in mind that an initiative was undertaken to form the EWUIAN Foundation by representatives from alumni.
And the journey starts on 2nd Friday of 2019, January 11. Every year 2nd Friday of January will be the EWUIAN Foundation day.
