Tahseen Kamal is a Research Associate working in the in the School of Engineering and Information Technology working with Dr. Andrew Lambert. Her primary project is on free-space laser communication. She recently obtained PhD on "Compact microscopy systems using non-conventional optical techniques", from Research School of Engineering, Australian National University. Her research focused on low-cost imaging prototype development where she specialized in moldless lens fabrication using liquid polymer, using 3D printed structures for engineering imaging prototypes and using Fourier Ptychography (FP) on moldless lens imaging.
Previously, she was a Senior Lecturer and Lecturer spanning over a period of ~8 years in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, East West University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Her previous major was computer science and engineering with research experience in digital system synthesis and optimization using evolutionary algorithms (genetic algorithm). For her involvement in higher education teaching she has been recognized as Fellow of Higher Education Academy of UK. She is a passionate and dedicated researcher and educator in engineering.
